The main motive of practicing spiritualism is to transform the consciousness to a higher plane, to turn knowledge into wisdom.
Spiritualism emanates from Vedanta which says, everything in this universe is the manifestation of ‘Brahma’ i.e. the eternal consciousness. It means the ‘one’ within you, is everywhere in this universe. So a spiritual man gets the feelings of universal brotherhood. Spiritualism makes people free from rituals and customs. It elevates the mind above all worldly bindings. A spiritualist doesn’t belong to any specific society, religion and country. He is for the universe.
A spiritualist never requires attending any social or religious war to establish his doctrine rather his spiritual experience involves an awareness of relationship with Divine consciousness. Spiritualism creates hope and courage. It doesn’t destroy but create. It creates peace in mind with deep sense of security and safety.
Only Spiritualism can bring true revolution in this present world. It is because Spiritualism is not biased to a specific religion or rituals and customs. It is freer from any prejudices, good or bad. Let the spiritualists of the world unite!
